Residents of Fagba, Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State, have expressed panic over a renewed clash between Hausa and Yoruba youths
in the area which entered its 5th day today.It was gathered that many people are injured in the clash.
One of the residents said there are causalities, but that could not be immediately ascertained.
There are also reports that buildings were damaged during the ongoing fight.
Another resident, Aina, disclosed that “We have not been able to leave our homes. They started the fight on Tuesday. We thought it was over yesterday until they renewed the fight again today.
“I don’t know the cause of the fight, but Isaw people running helter-skelter some minutes ago.” See video of the violence at Fagba:

Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
Since the #EndSARS violence started a week ago, Abuja had also witnessed some level of ethnic twist to the violence.
SCOOPER had reported that violence escalated in Apo Mechanic Area of Abuja between traders and local people opposed to the end SARs protests.
There was fear that the crisis might assume ethnic dimension between the Igbo traders and the locals and Hausa communities but normalcy was quickly returned after just one day of the clash.
The renewed clashes, saw the torching of cars by hoodlums at Apo. Many shops, houses and cars were also razed as a result of the escalation of tension. Instructively, security agencies were not on ground to douse the tension.
Meanwhile, Feminist Coalition, a not-for-profit organisation fueling the #EndSARS campaign has asked protesters to stay indoors in states and areas under curfew.
According to the group, the sum of N147.8m was received in cash donations towards the #EndSARS cause which is geared at ending decades of police ruthlessness in the country.
The group explained that the funds were raised “through the generosity of well-meaning people and concerned Nigerians who want their voices to be heard and their demands to be met.”
It said, however, that following the speech by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday night, it made a decision to “stop all donation inflows for the #EndSARS peaceful protest.”
It added, “The rest of the donations will go towards funding medical emergencies, legal aid for wrongfully detained citizens, and relief for victims of police brutality and families of the deceased.”
The group, whose objectives include “fighting injustice through peaceful protests, fundraising, and social media organisation” disclosed this in a statement on Thursday titled, ‘A Statement from the Feminist Coalition’.
The statement was co-signed by Damilola Odufuwa, Odunayo Eweniyi, Layo Ogunbanwo, Ozzy Etomi, Ire Aderinokun, Fakhrriyyah Hashim, Oluwaseun Osowobi, Jola Ayeye, Laila Johnson-Salami, Karo Omu, Obiageli Alintah, Tito Ovia, Kiki Mordi and FK Abudu.
The statement partly read, “The past two weeks have been tough for many Nigerians, most especially the last two days. Many lives have been lost and properties destroyed at the height of what started as peaceful marches for the end to police brutality.
“The Feminist Coalition condoles with every Nigerian mother, father, son, daughter who has lost a loved one in these trying times. These Nigerians share the same vision for a better country as we all do and should be duly recognized as heroes.
“Following the President’s address, we hereby encourage all young Nigerians to stay safe, stay home, and observe the mandated curfew in your state.
“The Feminist Coalition has made a decision to henceforth stop all donation inflows for the #EndSARS peaceful protest. The rest of the donations will go towards funding medical emergencies, legal aid for wrongfully detained citizens, and relief for victims of police brutality and families of the deceased.
“Here is a summary of the total funds we received and disbursed (in Naira) over the past 14 days:

“Total left = ₦87,452,553.28
“We wish to emphasize that we will no longer be accepting donations for #EndSARS going forward.”
