Remembering when Phyno “warned” Hushpuppi about his lifestyle with his verse on “Telli person” song

Remembering when Phyno “warned” Hushpuppi about his lifestyle with his verse on “Telli person” song.

In 2017, Nigeria social media was set ablaze when Instagram and Malaysia based big boy, Ray Hushpuppi who is well-known for his lavish lifestyle and love for Gucci, was embroiled in a troll which he started by shading the ‘King of the East’ Phyno, Ice Prince, Kcee, Timaya, Olamide, Davido and host of other celebrities.

In what led to the troll, Phyno, Timaya and Iceprince had complained about their works being pirated which had taken a chunk out of their money. The Gucci master replied by telling them they wear fake designer watches, so they shouldn’t complain about piracy.

Phyno replied Hushpuppi and labeled him Gucci slave, who live and die for Gucci. Weeks later, Phyno dissed Hushpuppi again along with Timaya and Olamide with the song “Telli person”

In his verse, Phyno said “You no get work, you just dey show money, dey follow Gucci all around”.

3 years later, the verse would return to haunt Hushpuppi forever as he has been picked by a crack team of Interpol which were alerted by Secret Secret of US over an elaborate scheme totalling above hundreds of millions of dollars which he is involved with.

His arrest was revealed by Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo who always court controversies. Hushpuppi allegedly exploited the Covid-19 pandemic to swindle unsuspecting native Americans of their social security cards to claim their unemployment insurance packages. He has been taken into custody.
